Middle River – Mrs. Helen Sullivan-Doucet, wife of Eric Doucet, of Middle River, passed away on Saturday September 14, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 72.
Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Emily (Breckenridge) Sullivan.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Raymond Doucet of Middle River, Dolores Doucet (Jamey) of Bathurst and Mickey Sullivan (Talley) of Beresford. Her grandchildren: Jordan (Ashleigh), Patrick and Kerrissa.
Five brothers: Gordon Sullivan Jr. (Linda) of Bathurst, Kelvin Sullivan and Lester Sullivan (Cindy), all of Janeville, Charles Sullivan (Lorraine) of Rothesay and Darrin Sullivan (Jodi) of Ottawa.
Five sisters: Marjorie Sullivan and Alesia Sullivan (Russell Henstridge), both of Saint John, Elizabeth O'Halloran of Bathurst, Darla Jean Sullivan of Bathurst and Wanda Eddy (Ralph) of South Tetagouche.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by a sister, Aldora Mabel and a brother, Blaine.
Helen’s passion was knitting, she created her own knitting club where she would teach and socialize with new and old friends. In the summer months her favorite activity was to attend the musical shows at the Bathurst waterfront.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. on Thursday September 26, 2024, at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral service will be held on Friday September 27th, 2024, at 2 p.m. from the First United Church in Bathurst. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
