We, the family announce the passing of Douglas Lagacy which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 83.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Henry Lagacy and Josephine Bertin.

He leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters: Lionel Lagacy and Edgar Lagacy both of Bathurst, Gérard Lagacy (Noreen) of Ontario; his sisters: Bernadette « Bernise » Hachey of Ontario and Diane King of Bathurst.

His nieces, nephews and his godchildren: Stéphane Haché, Ronald Cormier and Steven Legacy.

Throughout his years he worked as a janitor in the schools, meeting and helping children along the way, he was always helping others, he had a great and kind heart.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings: Évangeline, Edna, Isabelle, Raymond and Johnny.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 5th at 11a.m.
