Beresford – Mrs. Irene Pitre, of Bathurst and formerly of Beresford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, at the age of 92.

Irene was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband Louis and her son Daniel, who are now reunited with her.

Irene leaves behind her three devoted daughters: Linda Pitre (Gary Arsenault), Carole Pitre, and Murielle, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Céline Richard (Martine), Annie Richard (Levi) and Jonathan Lagacé (Hallie).

Irene will be remembered as a strong and proud woman, whose quick smile, sense of humour and loving nature won over all who met her. The Pitre family wishes to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit and 4th East units of the Chaleur Regional Hospital and the Résidence Vienneau for the care given to Irene.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford, after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18th until departure for the funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 4 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford.
