1946 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of René Dugas, husband of the late Claudette (Hachey) Dugas, of Ulric Dr., Bathurst, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born in Grand-Anse, he was the son of the late Adelbert and Albina (Godin) Dugas.

He is survived by two sons: Luc (Karine) Dugas of Bathurst and Paul (Kristal) Dugas of Nova Scotia.

Three grandchildren: Bowen, Jaxon and Ryan.

He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters: Louise (Rénald) of Caraquet, Ginette (Raynald) of Orleans, Ontario, Simonne of Bathurst, Mona (Jean-Marie) of Bathurst, Gérard (late Alice) of Caraquet, Robert (Lise) of Caraquet, Nicole of Tracadie-Sheila, Diane (Conrad) of Bathurst, Charles (Anne-Marie) Windsor, Ontario.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his spouse and parents, he was predeceased by brothers: Bernard and Bertrand.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held from Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, Bathurst at a late date.
