Stonehaven - Burton Comeau, 95, formerly of Stonehaven, passed away on Monday (December 24, 2007) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in New Bandon, he was the son of the late Winfield and Clara (Dempsey) Comeau. He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill and was a member of Central United Church, Clifton. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Hildred (Daley) Comeau. He is survived by: One daughter: Lillian Ellis (James) of Stonehaven One brother: Herman Comeau (Lillian) of Bathurst 2 grandchildren; Coleen and Darren 4 great-grandchildren; Ian, Jack, Noah and Abby. Several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday afternoon (December 28, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Eagles officiating. Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
