Chamberlain Settlement, NB - Harvey LaPointe, 66, formerly of Abraham Road, Chamberlain Settlement, passed away on Tuesday (January 22, 2008) at the Dalhousie Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Walter and Cecile (Lagacy) LaPointe. He worked as a truck driver for Eddy's for most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Alma (Boucher) LaPointe. Two daughters: Francine Smith (Terrence) of Charlottetown, PEI Allison Vienneau (Richard) of Bathurst One son: Frankie LaPointe (Rachel) of Bathurst Six sisters: Lovena Anderson, Patsy Schoolcraft, Florence Galliah and Antoinette Brown, all of Bathurst Alice McLean (Donald) of Ste Anne Anne Parker (Maurice) of Campbellton 6 grandchildren; Joshua, Jason, Justin, Lucas, Tanner, Chelsey, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother; Frank and a sister; Claudia Bourdage. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (January) 25, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, East Bathurst in the spring. Donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciate by the family.
