Bathurst - Gordon Vienneau, 94, formerly of Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (April 15, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alexander E. and Bridget (Doucet) Vienneau. He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill for 36 years. Besides his wife, Léona (Vienneau) Vienneau, he is survived by: One daughter: Fernande Dumeresq (Laurie) of South Tetagouche One brother: Damas Vienneau (Hazel) of Allarville Two grandchildren; Denis & Marilyne. Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 2 sons; Réal, Fernand, 2 daughters; Marcella, Anne Marie, 2 brothers; Chester, Oswald, 3 sisters; Eldridge, Madonna and Marie Anne. The body will rest Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning (April 18, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St.. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, East Bathurst, later in the spring. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in memory of Gordon, may be made to the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes Foundation or a favorite charity.
