Bathurst … Hazel Lauretta Smyth, 89, of Miramichi Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (November 10, 2008), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, following a brief illness. Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Rankin & Sybile (Smith) Smyth. She is survived by: One sister: Nettie Selland of Edmonton, AB Several nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by 2 sisters; Doris, Pearl, 2 brothers; Benson and Elmer The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday (November 12, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the United Cemetery, South Tetagouche. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
