MILLER, Jean of Salmon Beach, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Canobie, May 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Rebecca (Sealy) Peters. She was a member of St. Alban's Anglican Church. Jean was an avid quilter and knitter and she enjoyed outdoor activities with her family. She is survived by 4 daughters: Joan (Michael) Crowther; Debbie Good (Paul Patterson), both of Fredericton, NB; Sharon Miller of Bathurst, NB; Maureen Miller (Peter Barnes) of Calgary, AB; 6 grandchildren: Mark Crowther, Darren Crowther, Kara Gauthier, Marcie Connors, Josh Good and Kris Good; 9 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Etta Sabo of Scarborough, ON; 2 brothers: Morley Peters of Toronto, ON; and Mick (Helen) Knowles of Bathurst, NB; She was also survived by three stepsisters: Alda Ellis, Isalee Dempsey and Evelyn Morrison all of Bathurst; 1 sister-in-law, Lydia Scott; 1 brother-in-law Wesley Miller. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, 4 brothers: Norman; Reginald; Gilbert; Weldon; 2 sisters: Bella Knowles and Evangline Upham. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM, on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), 187 St. George St., Bathurst. Funeral service will be held 2 PM on Friday, January 9, 2009 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Salmon Beach. Memorial donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
