Bathurst - Mrs. Alfreda Young, 84, wife of the late Ora Young, formerly of South Bathurst, passed away on Friday (January 23, 2009) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst, after lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre and Louise (Babin) Glazier. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by: Six sons: Edward, Ivan (Louise), Stephen (Marie Jeanne) of Petit-Rocher Clarence (Lee Ann) Ralph (Brenda) Tom (Lynn) all of Bathurst Two daughters: Jeannie Lavigne (Théo) of Bathurst Louise Quenneville (Oscar) of North Bay, ON 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers; Ernest, Arthur, sisters; Regina, Rita and Dorothy. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (January 27, 2009) at 4 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst, with a reception to follow.
