Bathurst - Adelard Doucet, 72, of Sunset Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (March 14, 2009), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Adelard and Martina (Legacy) Doucet. He worked as a male nurse in Toronto for most of life. He is survived by his partner and friend, Roy S. Hampton One brother: Cornelius Doucet (Gloria) of Bathurst One sister: Jean Richards of Atholville, NB Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers; Edgar, Joe Albert, Gerald, sisters; Florence and Bernice. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (March 17, 2009) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Adelard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
