Bathurst … Lincoln “Link” Stever, 86, formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Friday (July 31, 2009) at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, Miramichi. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Jack and Melanie (Haché) Stever. He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada, United Kingdom and Continental Europe and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked as a Manager for NB Liquor for most of his life. He is survived by: 1 half-sister: Alphonsine Moul of St. Petersburg, Florida Several nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother; Douglas and a sister; Josephine. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning (August 6, 2009) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. Donations in memory of Link may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
