Bathurst - Frank O'Toole, 88, passed away Wednesday August 5, 2009 at Robert L. Knowles Veteran Unit, formerly of West Bathurst. Born May 25, 1921 in Nelson, Miramichi, he was the son of late Thomas Edward O'Toole and late Georgina Helen Quinn. He is pre-deceased by his wife; Ida O'Toole (Roy)(January 2003). He is survived by: His children; Tommy O'Toole (Karen) of Fredericton, Donald O'Toole (Denise) of Petit Rocher Peggy Basom (Myron) of California, Diane Gardiner (Bob) of Pabineau Falls, Nancy Shivas (Jim) of Fort McMurray. His grandchildren; Jason and Adam O'Toole, Ryan and Jordan O'Toole, Diana and Janet Shivas, Mark Gardiner. Frank is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is pre-deceased by brother; Edward (Eddie) and sisters; Eileen Hennessy, Lillian Fahey, Mae Whalen. Frank served overseas during World War II and was a life member of Royal Canadian Legion Herman J. Good VC Br 18, Bathurst. He worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 Saturday August 8, 2009 from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.
