Bathurst - Mrs. Rita Amos, 93, wife of the late Myles Amos, of Millhaven St., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (February l7, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Edmunston, she was the daughter of the late Harry T. and Gertrude M. (Turner) Leaman. She was a founding member of the Bayview Baptist Church, Bathurst. She is survived by: One son: Dr. Harry (Eva) Amos of Ottawa and his children; Nancy (Delaney), Christina (Edwin), Nicholas, and his grandchild; Maia. One daughter: Ruth Bishop (Laurie) of Fredericton, and her daughter; Trina (Lawrence), and her children; Austin and Eden. One brother: Gerald Leaman of Edmunston Several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday afternoon (February 21, 2010) at 2 p.m. from the Bayview Baptist Church, O'Neil Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Bayview Baptist Church or a favorite charity.
