Bathurst - It is with sadness that the children of Irene Dobbins, of Bathurst, announce her passing on Tuesday (November 2, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
 
Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Pitre) Legacy.
 
She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Anne Marie of Courtenay, BC and Elizabeth of Bathurst.  Her son; John of Miramichi.  Sister; Evelyn Daigle (late Fred).  Brother; Alex Legacy (Jeannine).  Sisters-in-law; Delima Legacy (late Ben) and Adeline Legacy (late Richard).  Several nieces and nephews.
She is grandmother to Laura, Lisa, Arlene, Christopher and Anthony.  Great-grandmother to Kate, Jessica, Nathan, Marie, Piper and Cyanna.  
Besides her husband, Wallace, she was pre-deceased by one son, a sister, six brothers and several in-laws.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (November 4, 2010) at 4 p.m. from the Holy Family with Father Greg Culligan presiding.  Donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
