Canobie - Russell Knowles, 84, of Canobie, passed away on Friday (December 10, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
 
Born in Canobie, he was the son of the late Thomas and Pearl (Sealy) Knowles.
 
He was self employed as a well driller, carpenter, boat builder, fisherman, and also at Herbert Knowles Enterprise.
 
He is survived by One son, Thomas (Lisa) of Canobie; one daughter, Lorna Daley of Bathurst; one brother, Herbert of Janeville; three sisters, Leona Cooper, Edith Young (Norman) and Mabel Stever (Raymond) all of Bathurst.
 
5 grandchildren, Jesse-Thomas, Jonathon, Cheyenne, Hannah and Spencer, several nieces and nephews.
 
He was pre-deceased by brothers, Hewlett, Gerald, Harper, Earl and a sister, Marjorie.
 
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held on Friday afternoon (December 17, 2010) at 3 p.m. from St. Alban's Anglican Church, Salmon Beach.
