Bathurst - Harold Arseneau, 87, of St. Camille Stpassed away on Thursday (December 9, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Benny and Theresa (Doucet) Arseneau.

He was predeceased by his first wife, the late Anita (Chiasson) Arseneau and his second wife, the late Lorraine (Goldrup) (Power) Arseneau.

He started his career as a BA graduate and professor at Sacred Heart College in Bathurst.  After obtaining his RIA and CGA designations, he retired as controller at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill.  He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1935, Bathurst, member of the Holy Family Club 200 and an avid Titan fan.

He is survived by a daughter, Denise Haney of Ottawa, Ont.;  2 grandchildren, Michelle and Daniel of Ottawa; a step-daughter, Lois Power of Bathurst; step-grandsons, Gregory and Brendan of Bathurst; two brothers, Leonard Arseneau (Jean) and Lawrence Arseneau (Geraldine), both of Bathurst; one sister, Ethel Cathcart (late Lenny) of North Carolina, USA.  Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by 4 sisters, Dell Barker, Sr.Carmel Arseneau, Rita Best and Winnie Kenny.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (December 13, 2010) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
