Bathurst - Mrs. Helen Comeau, 100, wife of the late Cyril Comeau, formerly of Bathurst, passed away Sunday (January 23, 2011) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Pius and Josephine (Laviolette) White.

She worked for many years at the former Stella’s Hat Shop in Bathurst and was an avid card player.  She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League, Bathurst.

She is survived by; three sons; Robert (Annette) of Moncton, Cyril (Sharon) and Paul (Diane) both of Bathurst.  Three daughters; Anne Alain (late Maurice) of Ottawa, ON, Connie Willden (Gordon) of Kentville, NS and Carol Calnan (late Bryan) of North Tetagouche.  One sister; Eva McDougal of Windsor, NS.

20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (January 26, 2011) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
