Bathurst - It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Daigle, 60, of Stout Court, announces his sudden death on Monday, January 24th, 2011, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Evelyn Legacy of Rough Waters and the late Alfred Daigle.
He was retired from Brunswick Mines after 33 years of service and truly enjoyed his retirement. His favorite pass time was woodworking, fixing things, going to the Titans hockey games and keeping company with his 2 dogs, Mollie and Kodey.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Evelyn Doucet-Daigle; his mom; his sisters: Gladys Caddy of Rough Waters (late Norman), Violet Lagacé (Gilles) of Saint Anne; sister-in-law: Judy Doucet of Bathurst (late Albany); brother-in-law, John and his wife Patsy Doucet of Poirier subdivision.
He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com) Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Bathurst Animal Shelter.
