John Legacy, 69, of Pabineau Falls, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of late John Pitre and late Melvina Legacy.

John is survived by his wife Stella (Gray) Legacy and his two sons, Alfred of Red Deer, AB., Douglas of Brantford, ON.  Three daughters; Evangeline (Acilio) Martins of Mississauga, ON, Cecile Legacy (Ronald Calender) of Mississauga, ON, Nicole Legacy (Gerald Saulnier) of Pabineau Falls.

Six grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Christina, Kylie and Ryan.

One brother, Alfred (Donna) of Saskatchewan; two sisters, Virginia Boucher of Robertville, Dorina Gauthier of Bathurst.

Many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be celebrated at Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11 am.  In memory of John, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Kidney Foundation or a charity of choice.
