Bathurst - Donald Cunningham, 80, of Fairway Court, Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (March 29, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
 
Born in Detroit, Michigan, USA, he was the son of the late George and Anne (Gannon) Cunningham.
He was a former employee of Parks and Rec. for the City of Toronto.  He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
Besides his wife, Claudette (Hachey) Cunningham, he is survived by: One step-daughter, Claudia Jensen (Keith) of Bermuda.  Two brothers, Gerry of Sudbury, ON and Reginald of Victoria, BC.  2 step-grandchildren, Logan and Ryan.  Several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday (April 2, 2011) at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Blair Lewis officiating.  Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
