Bathurst - Mrs. Rhoda Scott, 89, wife of the late Bayne Scott, formerly of Clifton, passed away on Monday (April 11, 2011) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, after a lengthy illness.

Born in New Bandon, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rita (Jagoe) Smith.

She was a member of the Central United Church, Clifton.

Rhoda is survived by: One son, Everett Scott (Linda) of Clifton.  Twin granddaughters, Tina and Tammy.  Three brothers, Hales Smith (Dorothy), Arthur Smith Jr. (Melba) and Harry Smith (Thelma), all of New Bandon.  Three sisters, her twin, Neta Hicks of Moncton, Leona Smith of New Bandon, Betty Miller (Bill) of Salmon Beach.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Harper and sisters, Twila and Shirley.

The body will rest after 7 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be held on Thursday afternoon (April 14, 2011) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.  Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
