Bathurst - Mrs. Macrina Pitre, 59, wife of Donald Pitre, of Chamberlain Settlement, passed away on Friday (June 10, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Aldon Gauthier and the late Dorothy (Pitre) Gauthier.

She was a former Chamber Maid at several Hotels in the Bathurst area.

Besides her husband and her father of Bathurst, she is survived by; Two daughters, Laurie Anne Pitre (Ronald Boudreau) of Miramichi, NB, Jennifer Pitre (Patrick Aubie) of Bathurst.  Four brothers, Edward Gauthier of Bathurst, Raymond Gauthier (Mireille) of Sormany, Ronald Gauthier of Beresford and Rémi Chiasson (Kelly) of Bathurst.  Nine sisters, Diane Legacy of Sormany, Patricia Gauthier of Moncton, Monique Gauthier (Alyre Roy), Juliette Caissie (Maurice), Yvette Gauthier, Jeannette Gauthier, Evangeline Gauthier, Stephanie Pitre (Rémi) and Chantal Legacé all of Bathurst.  Three grandchildren, Jessica, Austin and Megan.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Lawrence and Chesley.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday (June 14, 2011) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gregory Culligan officiating.  Donations in memory of Macrina may be made to the family or a charity of the donors choice.
