Sormany – Mrs. Diane Legacy, 56, wife of the late Léandre Legacy, of Sormany, passed away on Sunday (June 19, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Aldon Gauthier and the late Dorothy (Pitre) Gauthier.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Léandre in 2007. 

Besides her father of Bathurst, she is survived; Two sons, Roger Lee Legacy (Simonne) of Sormany, Jason Legacy (Julie Hébert) of Sainte-Rosette.  Four daughters; Sandra Legacy (Alfred Halka) of Pabineau First Nation, NB, Samantha Legacy (Daniel Lavigne) of Sainte-Louise, Carol Legacy of Bathurst, Deseré Legacy of Sormany.  Four brothers, Edward Gauthier of Bathurst, Raymond Gauthier (Mireille) of Sormany, Ronald Gauthier of Beresford and Rémi Chiasson (Kelly) of Bathurst.  Eight sisters, Patricia Gauthier of Moncton, Monique Gauthier (Alyre Roy), Juliette Caissie (Maurice), Yvette Gauthier, Jeannette Gauthier, Evangeline Gauthier, Stephanie Pitre (Rémi) and Chantal Legacé all of Bathurst. 

9 grandchildren; Daniel, Jordan, Isacc, Caroline, Melissa, Alice, Cindy, Baby Léandre and Danika.  2 great-grandchildren, Graydon and Halley.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Lawrence and Chesley and a sister, Macrina Pitre.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (June 22, 2011) at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), 270 Centre St., Beresford.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated later that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. from Eglise Ste Thérèse, Robertville.  Visiting hours are Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral.
