Joan Southern Arseneau - 80, of Riverside Drive, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.  Born in Bathurst  she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Doucet) Southern.             

She was a member of the Holy Family Church and the Catholic Women's League.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years Raymond.

One son, Donnie (Brenda)of Miramichi.  One daughter, Debbie (Donald) Vienneau of Bathurst.  Three grandchildren, Mandy (Don) McLean of Moncton, Andrea (Kelly) Crosthwaite of Moncton, special grandson, Jason (M-Jay) Vienneau of Bathurst.  One great-granddaughter, Lauren.  Two brothers, Robert of Vancouver, BC and Lloyd (Linda) of Bathurst.  One sister, Doris Calder of Mississauga, ON.

She was predeceased by a brother Ralph.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  A memorial service will be held 11 AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, 187 St. George St., Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com)  Donations in memory of Joan may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
