Bathurst - Edward Kelly, of Landry Lane, Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Sunday (January 8, 2012) at his residence at the age of 68.

Born in Gambo, N.L. he was the son of Anne (Tobin) (Kelly) Connor and the late Michael Joseph Kelly.

He worked for Brunswick Mines for over 30 years.

Besides his mother of Bathurst, he is survived by one daughter, Marcella Kelly (Bruno Blanchard) of North Tetagouche; one son, Shawn Kelly (Kim Farley) of Ottawa, Ont.,the mother of his children, Muriel Taylor of North Tetagouche; one brother, Mike Kelly of Bathurst; one sister, Pearl Shea of Fernie, B.C.

Three grandchildren: Christopher, Joshua and Faith, several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a grandson, Nick Kelly, brother, Hughie, sisters: Marcella and Mary.

The body will rest after 7 p.m. Friday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday (January 14, 2012) at 1 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.  Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
