Bathurst - Mr. Joseph Kennedy, 90, husband of the late Mildred (Green) Kennedy, of Church St., passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Stanley Kennedy and the late Amanda Legacy.

Joseph served in World War II in Canada as a Radar Technician.  He then later went on to work for many years at Stone Consolidated as a truck operator.

He is survived by three sons:  Stephen Kennedy (Vicki) of North Tetagouche, Joseph Kennedy Jr. of Big River, John Kennedy of Sussex.

Three daughters:  Shirley Kennedy of Moncton, Arlene Wood of Oxford, N.S., Joyce Veniot (Barry) of South Tetagouche.

One sister, Mary Boudreau (Ben) of Bathurst.

Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by four brothers: Wilson, John, Adelard, Alie and one sister, Edna.

Visitation will be held at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Friday, May 11, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral will be celebrated at 11:00 from Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or favorite charity.
