Bathurst – Edward "Babe" Bernier, 72, of Sutherland Ave., Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Monday (June 25, 2012) at his residence.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Hector and Nora Celina (Boudreau) Bernier.

He was the owner of the former Zero Taxi in Bathurst.

He is survived by five children:  Jacqueline Giroix of Ontario, Jean Paul of Fredericton, Albert of Petit-Rocher, Antonio of North Bay, Ont., and Mary Anne Lavigne of Halifax, N.S.

One brother, Philippe Bernier (Alice) of Bathurst,

Two sisters: Marie Richard (Tony) of Bathurst and Theresa Babin (late Gordon) of Rough Waters, N.B.

Several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
