Fort Smith, N.W.T. – Mrs. Ruth Daigle Barciok of Fort Smith, N.W.T., passed away on February 18, 2011, in Fort Smith, NT.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Leopold and Ursela (Major) Daigle.

She was educated at Holy Family Convent, Bathurst High School and graduated from the former Hotel Dieu Hospital in Bathurst as an RNA.  She worked in Iqualuit for 10 years and later in Fort Smith, N.W.T. 

She is survived by two sisters: Joan Kovats (Nick) of Bathurst and Colleen Aubie (Jacques) of Nigadoo. 

Four brothers: Cyrille Daigle of Dieppe, Wayne Daigle (France) of Quebec City, Richard Daigle of Timmins, Ont., and Michael Daigle of Robertville.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, John Barciok, she was predeceased by a brother, Daniel.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday (May 29, 2013) at 4 p.m. from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
