With celebration of a life well lived, we announce the sudden passing of Linda Newell of King Ave, Bathurst, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the age of 68.

Born in Port Elgin, NB she was the daughter of Jessie (O'Donnell) Horsley of Bathurst and the late Maurice Horsley.

Linda worked for many years in Toronto for Sears and Blue Cross. Following her retirement she moved to Bathurst in 2015.

Besides her mother, Jessie, she is survived by two daughters: Christina Dalzell of Saint John, NB and Corean Lin Maracle of Kingston, Ont. One grandson, Landon.

Two brothers: William of Moncton, NB and David (Jamie Holt) of Portland, Oregon, USA.  Two nieces: Angeline and Tula.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Newell.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 2 pm from the First United Church, St. Patrick St.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhattonl.com), Bathurst.
