Canobie - Mrs. Edna Barnes, formerly of Canobie, passed away on Saturday August 11, 2018, at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes at the age of 81.

Born in Canobie, she was the daughter of the late Leaman and Nellie (King) Sealy,

She worked in Quebec and later went to the United States for a number of years before returning home around 10 years ago.

She was pre-deceased by her spouse, James "Jim" Perunte and is survived by her family:  David Miller (Edie) of Chateauguay, QC, Donna Francis (Sid) of Canobie; Shirley Rainville (Richard) of Fredericton, Rodney Sealy (Marjorie) of Salmon Beach, Elmer Sealy (Barbara) and Ernie Sealy (Betty) both of Miramichi.  Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by four brothers; Delbert, Donald, Stanley and Herman.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held from Christ Church Cemetery in Clifton on Saturday August 25, 2018 at 10 a.m.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
