Mrs. Ethel Miller of Bridge St., Bathurst, wife of Wesley Miller passed away on Saturday October 20, 2018, at the age of 87, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Seaside, NB, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Isabel (Mallaley) McCarthy.

She worked as a nurse for most of her life and enjoyed cooking, sewing and knitting.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons: Garth (Annette) of Miramichi and Kirk of Grande Prairie, Alb.

Four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

One brother, Stanley McCarthy (Gervance) of Sturgeon Falls, Ont.

Three sisters:  Bernice Young of Sault St. Marie, Ont., Thelma McMillan of Fredericton and Veronica McCarthy of Mississauga, Ont.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a son, Keri and two sisters: Marianne and Carmel.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday October 25, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday afternoon October 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.  Donations in memory of Ethel may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
