With great sadness, the family of Betty Melanson announces her sudden passing on March 21, 2019 at the George Dumont Hospital after a very brief battle with cancer at the age of 69.

At the time of her passing, Betty was living in Dieppe, NB. 

She was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Godin) Melanson and Arthur Melanson.   She is survived by her loving husband Philip King and two sisters Patsy (Harvey) Lavigne and Linda Melanson (Normand Cormier) of Bathurst, several nieces and great nieces and nephews living in New Brunswick and Ontario.

Betty was predeceased by a brother Robert and a sister Julie.

Betty did not have any children but she loved her pets dearly and being an animal lover gave generously to charities involving animals. 

There will be no visitation or funeral service.  A celebration of her life will be held by her family later in the spring.

Rest in peace, you will be missed greatly.
