It is with great sadness the family of Robert Lavigne, 69, of Chamberlain Settlement, announce his passing on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 at the Regional Hospital, Bathurst, with family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Frank and Marie Ann (Boucher) Lavigne.  

He is survived by his wife Theresa (Mallet) Lavigne. 

Two sons: Keith Lavigne (Lori) and Terry Lavigne (Lisa) both of Wasaga Beach, Ontario.  

Four grandchildren: Keagan, Hailey, Liam and Brooke. 

2 sisters: Cécile Savoie (Aristide) of Tracadie and Annette Breau (Peter) of Shediac.

3 brothers: Eric Lavigne of Bathurst, NB, Jean-Marc Lavigne (Marie-Rose) of Rough Waters, NB and Marcel Lavigne (Nancy) of Chamberlain Settlement, NB.

Several nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in laws. 

He was pre-deceased by two brothers: Gilles and Donald. 

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday evening from 7-9 PM at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St. (www.elhatton.com). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
