It is with great sadness the family of Edwin White, husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” (Babin) White of Big River, announce his passing which occurred on Monday September 16, 2019 at Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 83.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Arthur and Zita (Comeau) White. 

He is survived by three daughters:   Karen (Todd) Sherrard of Bathurst,  Kim (Joey) Butler of Big River and  Jennifer (Scott) Patterson of Fredericton.   

Eight grandchildren: Leigh Anne, Mitchell, Danika, Ali, Jamie, Emily, Robyn and Erin. 

One great granddaughter, Summer Nicole and one great grandson, Madden. 

One sister: Patricia White of New Richmond, Quebec. 

Two brothers: Arnold White (Leona) of Bathurst and George White (Margaret) of Moncton.  

Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter Brenda and two sisters, Teresa Assaff and Winnie White.  

Edwin worked in mining exploration all his life. He loved spending time in the woods hunting and fishing and enjoyed playing darts and horseshoes.  

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday September 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Edwin may be made to charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
