It is with great sadness that the family of Maurita Bourque of Bathurst, announces her passing on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes at the age of 83.

She was predeceased by her husband, Norman in 2001 at the age of 68. Maurita was born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Annie (Morrissey) Furlotte. 

She is survived by her two sons: Gerald Bourque (Florence) of Dartmouth, NS and Marc Bourque (Mary) of Bedford, NS and a grandson, Philippe.

Three sisters:  Ann Thomas, Luana (Gerald) Theriault and Judy Daigle (late Cletus) all of Bathurst; one brother: John B. Furlotte (Yogie) of Lethbridge, Alberta. 

Sister-in-law: Pauline Bourque (André Belzile) of St.Louis de Kent, NB. 

Several nieces and one nephew.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes for exceptional care Maurita received in her 2 years stay. 

The family will receive relatives and friends after 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Elhatton’s Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com) from where the funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Donations in memory of Maurita may be made to the Foyer Notre-Dame-de Lourdes, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
