Bathurst - Joe Dong, 87, formerly of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday February 25, 2020 at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Victoria, BC, he was the son of the late Hong Lun and Home Shi (Tom) Dong. 

Joe was the owner of the former Happy Garden Restaurant in Bathurst and worked as a cook in several other Chinese restaurants in the region until his retirement. 

He is survived by his wife, Brishan Li of China, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters.
