It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cecile Patricia Garrett announces her passing on June 15, 2020, at her home in Bathurst, NB, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Clara (Allain) Kenny, and leaves behind the love of her life, Stuart, their two children: Karen Garrett (Darren Welner) and  Stephen (Tammi).  

Four grandchildren, Nathan, Leanna, Jonathan and Christopher; and two great-granddaughters, Henley & Kova. 

She is also survived by siblings:  Richard (Jacinthe), Grace (Paul) Castonguay, Gordon (Doris), Harold (Opal), Peter (Mireille Coté), Margaret Kenny and Mary Kenny. 

Many nieces and nephews.  

Cecile will forever be remembered for her incredibly kind and loving heart, her giving spirit, and her love of life.  

Together with her husband of 56 years, she spent her summers camping and enjoying Bluegrass Festivals, and she cherished all of the incredible friends she made throughout the years. 

She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will carry on as we live by her words, to "Love each other, be kind, and always do the right thing." 

In keeping with Cecile's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Cecile may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
