It is with great sadness we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Edmond Larocque, of Big River, NB which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, surrounded by family, on July 26th, 2020, at the age of 77.

He was the son of Honore and Melinda (Couture) Larocque.

He is survived by his partner Lillian Gray, four children, Graig Larocque (Angie), Brian Larocque, Amanda Halliday (Adam) and Helena Larocque (Crystal).

Six grandchildren: Janie, Nathan, Joseph, Samuel, Alma and Archer and one great-grandchild Alice.

Five sisters: Marjorie Larocque, Simone Chiasson (Roger), Violet Lizotte, Kathleen Larocque (David), Jeanine Larocque. Two brothers: Roger Larocque and Gary Larocque (Noriko) and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents and brother Albert Larocque (Helen).

Edmond worked at Brunswick Mines from 1972 to 1997. He loved the outdoors. He was always up for going fishing or hunting. He loved animals, yard sale-ing and driving his grandchildren to the river on his four-wheeler. We will forever miss our family dinners and all the advice that he would give during our many chats over the years. Dad, we love you and miss you.

We would like to thank the staff at Chaleur Regional Hospital, ICU, for all the care and kindness they showed to our Dad during his time of need.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. A funeral mass by invitation only will be held from Sacred Heart Cathedral. To confirm your attendance at the funeral mass, please contact Brian at 543-2674.
