Canobie, NB - Gary Veneau, 69, of Canobie, passed away on Tuesday June 28, 2022, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Kentville, NS, he was the son of the late Donald and Beulah (Ronalds) Veneau and his stepmother, Florence Hudson.

Gary was retired from the former Brunswick Mines, was also a first responder in Mine Rescue and was a member for over 34 years with the New Bandon & Salmon Beach Volunteer Fire Department.

Besides his wife, Lorna Morrison) Veneau, he is survived by three children: Kerby Veneau (Leah) of Legal, AB, Andrew Veneau (Carla) of South Tetagouche and Terry Lynn Blanchette (Allan) of Big River.

Six grandchildren: Robyn, Christopher, Rebecca, Maigan, Katelyn, Ashlyn and two great-grandchildren: Trinity and Keira.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends at his home in Canobie on Sunday, July 3rd, from 1 p.m. till 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 4, 2022, at 2 p.m. from Christ Church Anglican, Clifton, followed by a reception at his home.
