Robert “Bob” Gulliver … 73, of Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (August 8, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst after a short illness. Born in Bay du Vin, NB, he was the son of the late Hubert and Elizabeth (Harper) Gulliver He retired from Eddy Hardware Ltd., in 1995 after 40 years of service. He was an active member of Saint George’s Anglican Church. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by: 4 Sons: Scott Gulliver (Tracy) of Fredericton Mark Gulliver Dana Gulliver (Mary Jane) both of Halifax, NS Aaron Gulliver (Karen) of Victoria, BC 8 Grandchildren; 4 Sisters: Rhona of Moncton, Joan of Doaktown, Shiela of Calgary and Carol of Port Dover, ON; Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Winifred "Winnie"(Nickerson) Gulliver, and a brother, Tom. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon (August 11, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church, King Ave., Bathurst, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Bishop Claude Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery, St. Anne St. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St. George’s Anglican Church Building Fund. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of the ICU and 2 West at Chaleur Regional Hospital.
