Beresford - Johnny "Jean-Baptiste" Frenette, 75, husband of Noëlla LaPlante, of Beresford, passed away on Tuesday (October 16, 2007), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Augustin and Anna (Degrâce) Frenette. Besides his wife, he is survived by : One son: Marc (Carole Losier) of Sudbury, ON One daughter: Monique (Eric Côté) of Beresford. Three grandchildren : Nathalie of Gatineau, Que. Émilie and Stéphanie of Sudbury, ON One brother : Roger (Adrienne Landry) of Beresford, Three sisters : Yvette (Alvin Frenette) of Beresford, Marielle (Donald Doucet) of Beresford, Ginette (Roger Gionet) of Petit Rocher. He was pre-deceased by 2 sisters; Rina (Charles Desjardins) of Kedgwick and Sylvia (Roger Lagacé) of Beresford and a brother; Gérard. Johnny worked for Canadian National until his retirement. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com) of Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday evening (October 19, 2007) at 7:00 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
