Bathurst - Geraldine Harris, 79, wife of the late Gerald Harris, formerly of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (October 29, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the Robert and Caroline (Bastian) Wood. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Cultural Society and Genealogy Society and worked as teacher in various capacities for most of her life. She is survived by: One son: Bryan Harris (Janice) of Bathurst One daughter: Branda Jacono (John) of Sidney, Cap Breton, NS Sister-in-law: Donna Wilson (Michael) of Fredericton, NB One brother: Ervine Wood of Toronto, ON One granddaughter, Kathy Jagoe 2 great-grandchildren; Jacob and Kyna. Several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday morning (November 1, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery, Bathurst. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
