Bathurst - Dorine (Chiasson) Doucet, 48, wife of Dave W. Doucet, of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away after a courageous struggle with cancer on Wednesday (November 21, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Edna (Belanger) Chiasson and the late John Chiasson. Besides her husband and her mother of Bathurst, she is survived by: One sister: Joanne Chiasson (Jean-Noel Arseneau) of Dunlop Two brothers: Jean-Claude Chiasson (Glenda) of Dunlop Francois Chiasson (Nicole Boudreau) of North Tetagouche. Nieces; Melanie, Julie, Monica, Billie. Nephew; Jean Rene. Dorine with her husband, David, co-founded Green Thumb Landscaping in Bathurst. Dorine was a well known, devoted person for the diocese of Bathurst, having been in past years, secretary for the parishes of Holy Family, St. Theresa (South Bathurst) and Sacred Heart Cathedral. She was last employed at the diocese of Bathurst where she worked as Coordinator for the Anglophone pastoral services. Even during her illness, she was pursuing a diploma in Ministry Programming. She was a member and past president of St. Theresa Little Flower Council, Catholic Women’s League, Bathurst. She also was active with the Bathurst Multicultural Society. She will be deeply missed by her families, including her in-laws, nieces and nephews of the Doucet family, aunts, uncles, cousins and the many circles of friends, which she made over the years as she was recognized for her bursts of laughter and her joy of life. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (November 24, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital or a charity of the donors choice. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
