Bathurst - Gérard Godin, 83, of Chaleur St., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (December 10, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Richard and Virginie (Cormier) Godin. He was Branch Manager of Eddy's Building Supplies for many years. Besides his wife, Geraldine (Legacy) Godin, he is survived by: Two sons: Ronald Godin (Bonnie) of Big River Albanie Godin (Sandra) of Bathurst One daughter: Linda Chapman of Bathurst Two brothers: George Godin and Alban Godin (Eveline) both of Bathurst One sister: Yvonne Morais of Toronto, ON 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning (December 13, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
