Bathurst - Albert Jacques, 87, of Albert St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (March 28, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Campbellton, he was the step-son of the late Patrick Jacques and Mary Shaw.

He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill.  He was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Msgr Wheaton Assembly, Bathurst.

Besides his wife, Eleanor (Hachey) Jacques, he is survived by:

Seven sons:

Bernard (Glenda) and

Lawrence (Audrey) both of Bathurst

Kelly (Debbie) of Miramichi

Eric (Gladys),

Steven (Brenda) and

Raymond (Cindy) all of Brampton, ON

Lionel Hachey (Gloria Anne) of Bathurst

Seven daughters:

Marie Dupuis (Gerard),

Linda Doucet (Joseph),

Priscilla Morrison (Roland),

Christine Young (Roger),

Gloria MacDonald (Bobby),

Donna Jones and

Sally Mazerolle (Camille) all of Bathurst

40 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

He was pre-deceased by 2 sons; Raymond and Gordon.

 The body will rest after 2 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (March 30, 2010) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
