Acadieville – Leonard Gauthier, 77, formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Monday (June7, 2010) at Villa Acadie in Acadieville. 

Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Frederick and Bridgette (Pitre) Gauthier.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Estelle (Hachey) Allain in 2008.

He is survived by:

Four brothers:

Frederick “Freddy” Gauthier (Yvette)

Stanley Gauthier (Florida)

Aldon Gauthier and

Aurele Gauthier (Irene) all of Bathurst

Five sisters:

Alice Doucet (Fredéric),

Bertha Doucet (John),

Martha Hudon,

Beatrice Robichaud (Percy),

Yvonne Picot (Aldor) and

Alma Daigle all of Bathurst

Several nieces and nephews.

The body will rest after 1 p.m. Tuesday (June 8, 2010) at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated later that day at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
