Bathurst - Lionel Lavigne, 67, of Munro St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (August 29, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alfred and Alma (Duguay) Lavigne.

He was a former employee of the City of Bathurst.

Besides his wife, Darlene Lavigne, he is survived by:

One brother; Peter (Elita) of Bathurst.  Three sisters; Lorraine Arseneau (Allan) of Toronto, ON, Carmel Daigle (Claude) of Middle River and Muriel St. Pierre (Daniel) of Moncton.

Several nieces and nephews.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral service will be held on Friday morning (September 3, 2010) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Greg Culligan officiating.  Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
