Bathurst – Mrs. Rita Luce, wife of the later Albert Luce, formerly of Hillside Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 two months into her 101 first year, at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.
 
Born in Ste Anne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Doucet) Bertin.
 
She was a very active person and operated her own convenience store.  She was a member of the Catholic Women's League of the Holy Family Parish.
She is survived by:Three sons:  George (Albine) of Belledune, Lucien of Bathurst, Walter (Yolande) of Ste Anne’s.  Three daughters:  Bertha Christie (late William) of Toronto, Alice Boucher (Bernard) of Bathurst, Hilda Aube (Denis) of Oromocto.  Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One brother:  Wilfred Bertin of Bathurst, One sister:
Maria Blanchard of Bathurst.

She was predeceased by her husband Albert, brothers, Leonard, Joseph, sisters, Aldia, Martha and Delcina.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11 AM from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes or a favorite charity.
