Born in Portland, Maine, USA, to the late Ida (Main) (Pease) Annis and the late Samuel Pease, and sister to the late Eddy Pease, Crystal lived most of her adult life residing in Portland and Fryeburg, Maine.

A former member of St. Pauls United Church, Fredericton, NB and the Fredericton Society of Artists, Crystal was an accomplished seamstress, and homemaker as well as an avid Bridge player. She was best known for her beautiful paintings which grace the homes of family and friends. She was talented in all 3 medians: oil, acrylic, and pastel. When spending summers at her Janeville cottage, she enjoyed being among the “downshore” people and attending Central United Church. She spent numerous hours walking the beach and looking for treasures given up by the waters of Chaleur Bay. She especially enjoyed this time of year when Mother Nature’s foliage appears in such a magnificent array of colours.
